Tuesday, 16 July 2019, at 2 p.m., U.S. Eastern Daylight Time.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A DIFFERENT TIME THAN MOST BCG WEBINARS.

The Netherlands has excellent records. Civil registration of births, marriages, and deaths began in 1811, and churches kept records since the early 1600s. Genealogists who don’t look beyond those records, however, may create trees that go back ten generations, but they may be bare in biographical detail or contain errors.

By expanding research to lesser used sources, we can learn more about our ancestors’ lives and find evidence of family relationships to build reliable conclusions. Using examples from her own research, Yvette will demonstrate how to find and use court, notarial, military, cadastral, and other Dutch records you may not have previously used. Find out whether your Dutch ancestors owned property, what their occupations were, or even what they looked like. See them in the context of their families and associates, and understand their roles in the communities in which they lived.

The live webinar by Yvette Hoitink, CG®, presented by the Board for Certification of Genealogists (BCG) in conjunction with Legacy Family Tree Webinars, is free to the public. It will be presented on Tuesday, 16 July 2019, at 2 p.m. U.S. Eastern Daylight Time. Please note that this is a change from BCG’s usual time for webinars. In order to accommodate those who might have schedule conflicts, the webinar can be accessed at no charge for a week after the live broadcast.
