Patti HobbsThe genealogical proof standard requires reasonably exhaustive research in solving ancestral-identity problems. DNA evidence is now often part of that research. Even the best DNA evidence must be combined with some traditional research. This webinar will show different ways that genealogical problems have been solved by integrating DNA evidence with the paper trail.

Presenter: Patti Lee Hobbs, Certified Genealogist®, with a BA in biology, works as a professional genealogist and occasionally at the Springfield-Greene County Library in Springfield, Missouri. Patti instructs on the use and analysis of DNA testing and how it complements traditional research in original records. Patti has presented numerous workshops on DNA locally and regionally as well as at the week-long “Practical Genetic Genealogy” course at the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh. Patti serves as a Board for Certification of Genealogists trustee, a BCG Education Fund trustee, and the chair of the Ozarks Genealogical Society Education Committee. She is the course coordinator for IGHR’s “Genetics for Genealogists: Beginning DNA.”
