At its semi-annual meeting held on 19 October 2025, the Trustees of the Board for Certification of Genealogists® (BCG) elected officers for the coming year.
They are:
- President: Angela Packer McGhie, CG, FUGA, of Maryland
- Vice President: Karen Stanbary, CG, CGG, of Illinois
- Secretary: Gary Ball-Kilbourne, PhD, CG, CGL, of North Dakota
- Treasurer: Shannon Green, CG, CGL, CGG, of Colorado
- Member at Large: Scott Wilds, CG, of Pennsylvania
- Member at Large: Mark A. Wentling, CG, of Massachusetts
BCG welcomes two returning and three new trustees.
Returning trustees: Jari Christopher Honora, CG, of Louisiana Scott Wilds, CG, of Pennsylvania
Newly elected Trustees are: Jenny Rizzo Irwin, CG, of New York Carolyn Ladd, JD, CG, of Washington Kelley Conner Lear, CG, of Georgia
Other continuing trustees for the coming year are Matthew Blaine Berry, CG; Catherine B. W. Desmarias, CG, CGG; Mary Kircher Roddy, CG; Faye Jenkins Stallings, CG; and Jennifer Zinck, CG. Michael S. Ramage, JD, CG, continues as General Counsel to the Board, and Darcie Hind Posz, CG, FASG, continues as Executive Director.

Newly elected BCG President, Angela Packer McGhie, CG, FUGA, says “I look forward to serving BCG with the newly elected officers and trustees.”
All fifteen trustees are board-certified, and all serve without compensation. Five were elected this year by certified associates. The terms of office of the new trustees began at the end of the 19 October 2025 board meeting.
