Emeritus Status

BCG offers Emeritus status to individuals who have had a long and distinguished career with BCG and who are retired from research for clients and from the profession of genealogy for more than incidental monetary gain. Distinguished service may include serving as a BCG officer, trustee, or judge. It may also include service to the broader genealogical community. Emeritus status is determined on a case-by-case basis by vote of the trustees by secret ballot. These individuals no longer undergo testing.
