When you submit the requested material, your portfolio will be reviewed by three judges. Each will consider your application without knowledge of the evaluation made by the others. Each will prepare for you an analysis of your personal strengths and weaknesses as well as the extent of your experience in the field. Their evaluations and comments (anonymously written), along with your application packet, will be returned to you within a time frame of about five months. Upon acceptance, you will join a select group of dedicated genealogists that publicly make a commitment to the maintenance of quality and public confidence in the field of genealogy. You will have made an important step in your educational growth — a step that will reap benefits for years to come.
