BCG's Lecturing Credential

If you wish to apply for the Certified Genealogical Lecturer (CGL) credential, you must first hold the Certified Genealogist credential. There is no waiting period once you have obtained your research-category credential. The CGL credential attests to the competence of those who lecture or teach courses. A Category Application Form is available from the Executive Director. The current edition of the BCG Application Guide gives complete instructions for these procedures.

The form and a portfolio including the specific requirements for the new or additional category must be sent to the Executive Director, with the appropriate fee.
